Nivola. La sintesi delle arti

by Giuliana Altea e Antonella Camarda

pp. 492

Ilisso, Nuoro 2015

with the patronage of Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti

euro 78

This is the first exhaustive book to be published on Costantino Nivola, an artist whose work touches on several issues crucial for the study of Twentieth-century art: displacement and the construction of identity; art in the public sphere; the integration of painting, sculpture and architecture; art and political and civil rights; the idea of the Mediterranean as a cradle of civilization and a primitive myth. At the same time, many of these issues are more and more relevant to contemporary culture.

A fully researched book, lavishly illustrated, it appeals both to academics and the general public.
